As you exit the aircraft, proceed through the custom formalities.  Please ensure that you have your passport to hand and a pen (in the event that you need to complete an arrivals form). From here, collect your baggage and pass through customs.

Upon entering the arrivals hall, you will be met by a Flame of Africa Representative.  They will have a welcome sign, on which your name and surname will clearly be displayed.  After a quick hello and a warm handshake, they will accompany you to the transfer vehicle for your onward transfer.

Welcome to Kasane town, home to The Chobe National Park!  This town’s rhythm is slow, deep and measured.  The numbers feed in this emerald-green wilderness, bird life is overwhelming, while tiger fish, bream and barbel provide that age-old safari is brought to your doorstep with views over the flood plains, ancient and yet ever-changing.  Game animals in immense numbers feed in this emerald-green wilderness, bird life is overwhelming, while tiger fish, bream and barbel provide that age-old thrill of the catch and release.

As you are dropped off by your Flame of Africa Representative in Kasane, please enter the Departures Hall.  There will be meet and greet assistance. Please look out for a Mack Air Representative, who will have a sign bearing your name.  They will assist with the check-in process for your charter flight.  Please remember that there are baggage restrictions, please refer to our Pre Departure Information.  This is of vital importance.

As you arrive in Maun Airport, proceed through the custom formalities.  Please ensure that you have your passport to hand and a pen (in the event that you need to complete an arrivals form). From here, collect your baggage and pass through customs. Proceed to the Arrivals Hall, where a Mack Air Representative will be waiting with a sign bearing your name.  They will assist with your check-in for your charter flight.  Please remember that there are baggage restrictions. At check-in, your booking will be confirmed, and your boarding pass will be issued.  Please check in your luggage and proceed to the security gate (a representative will be on hand to assist).

At the security checkpoint, you will need your boarding pass and passport.  Please note, items commonly confiscated are bottles of water (liquids over 100ml), knives, lighters, bug spray and sunscreen.

Once you have cleared security and/or passed through immigration, you may put away your passports, but keep out your boarding pass.

This being a bush airline, ‘smaller aircraft’ will be used. Flights are generally bumpy, so if you are subject to motion sickness, anti-nausea pills may be useful to pack. The areas that you’ll fly over are incredibly scenic, and the possibility of seeing wildlife is high, so bring your camera and enjoy the flight!

The camp is perfectly located between the Moremi Game Reserve and the Chobe National Park in Botswana. It is home to some of the most diverse habitats, including riverine woodlands, mopane woodland, open savannah and lagoons.

Game Drives & Night Drives
Adventurous game drives in the Khwai Concession or Moremi Game Reserve, through vast pristine habitats combining floodplains, riverine vegetation and drier woodland areas.

Mokoro
Head out for a beautiful afternoon tea set up by the river offering an insight into a special afternoon experience coupled with a Mokoro ride with our skilled poler where you are bound to spot elephants drinking as you sail through the Khwai river channels, on a traditional dugout canoe (mokoro).

Birdwatching
Khwai is renowned for its abundant birdlife and is , offering an insight into a special afternoon experience, coupled with a Mokoro ride with our skilled poler,popular with birding enthusiasts.

Full-day Game Drive in Moremi National Park:
If you are staying in the Camp for an extended period of time this day tour will be included.  Head out for a full day game drive in the Moremi park which unveils a cinematic landscape—endless plains dotted with acacia trees, riverine forests, and vast lagoons. The game drive provides an opportunity to witness the daily dramas of the animal kingdom, from lion prides basking in the sun to herds of elephants gracefully crossing the landscape.

Khwai Village & Community
Khwai is a village on the north bank of the Khwai River in the north-west district of Botswana. The Khwai River also forms the northern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. The village is just outside the north gate of the reserve, which is on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta. The Khwai community, adjacent to the northern region of Moremi Game Reserve, has a population of just 400 people who are predominately of either BaBukakhwe or River Bushmen descent.

Welcome to The Okavango Delta! One of the last truly unspoilt wilderness areas in Africa, it remains one of nature’s marvels, characterised by the gentle flooding of endless plains. The northern areas of the delta feature larger expanses of savannahs punctuated by lagoons and tributaries, and it is on the banks of one of these that a magnificent site has been selected for Kadizora Camp. Beneath a majestic stand of trees and along a peninsula, commanding uninterrupted panoramic vistas of the delta.

Kadizora Camp is situated between the Vumbura River and Selinda Spillway. It lies in the remote northern part of the Okavango Delta overlooking a panoramic seasonal floodplain. Giant Marulas, Sycamore figs, Jackal berries and Rain trees provide a canopy of shade throughout the camp. The bar, lounge, reception and dining area form a horseshoe shape around the sandy fire pit. From there, a decked walkway leads you to an inviting swimming pool with a view over the floodplain.

Kadizora Camp truly offers the ultimate Okavango Delta experience, with a wide range of activities, a beautiful location, diverse wildlife and warm, local hospitality.

As you fly over the Delta to Kadizora Camp, you will experience breathtaking scenery, please have your camera ready! Kadizora Airstrip is only 10 minutes from the lodge.

Kadizora Camp facilitates open vehicle safaris and boating. Mokoro excursions provide a fabulous and traditional way to explore the meandering water channels. Float quietly amongst the waterlilies and experience a spectacular bird lovers’ paradise. There is the option to arrange a day trip to a traditional village. Visit the church, the clinic, local Primary school and meet family members of the camp staff. Fishing is available in season.

Day 9

Charter flight Kadizora Camp/ Tau Pan. Flight time +-1 hr 20min one way. Transfer to airstrip included.
