Experience the best of the Falls without breaking your budget!

Victoria Falls and Kasane Combinations:
The Victoria Falls town is a tourist mecca. With year-round water flowing over the Falls, the mist of the spray can often be seen. No property has a view of the Falls, as the town itself is perched above the gorge into which the waterfall plummets. The bridge can be seen from the oldest hotel, Victoria Falls Hotel. The town itself is easily accessible and very safe to walk about for sensible guests. During recent years, many residential properties have been converted into accommodation. We prefer A’Zambezi River Lodge as it offers expansive views over the Zambezi River and has a lovely African feel. It is about 4kms out of town which is an intentional choice for us as it is removed from the helicopter noise which can be quite invasive for the properties that are within the town and near the Falls entrance. Having said that, A’Zambezi remains within easy reach as it offers a regular free shuttle to all the major stops in town.
Kasane town is about a 1.5 – 2-hour road transfer from Victoria Falls. The road is regularly travelled and well maintained. The border crossing is very tourist-friendly, and our guests will be accompanied by and guided throughout.
Chobe National Park is the draw card for Kasane. It is 11,770 square kilometres of untamed wilderness and a premium safari destination. The Chobe riverfront is comprised of lush flood plains and a dense woodland of mahogany, teak and other precious hardwoods. Seasonally, large breeding herds of elephant (often swimming between islands), snorting hippo, giraffe, sable and Cape African buffalo roam and graze over this vast expanse of wilderness. Expect visits from spell binding predators like…lions, leopard, hyena, jackal or caracul and crocodiles.
There is a range of accommodation in Kasane. Most often they are large properties as opposed to the small, intimate lodges one finds in the Delta. Mowana Safari Lodge is our property of choice. It is a well-established lodge that, again, boasts a beautiful location. Each room has a river view, and the main areas offer spectacular sunset vistas. It is within easy reach of the National Park which reduces traveling time for cruise and game drive departures. The entrance again invites one into the African Safari experience as a huge baobab tree forms the centrepiece of the reception area. Our Kasane team will facilitate all the activities and transfers during the guests’ stay in Kasane.

As you exit the aircraft, proceed through the custom formalities. Please ensure that you have your passport to hand and a pen (in the event that you need to complete an arrivals form). From here, collect your baggage and pass through customs.
Upon entering the arrivals hall, you will be met by a Flame of Africa Representative. They will have a welcome sign, on which your name and surname will clearly be displayed. After a quick hello and a warm handshake, they will accompany you to the transfer vehicle for your onward transfer.

As your time in Africa draws to a close, we hope that you allow yourself that last moment to linger…
Recalling the liquid sunsets of yesterday, know that your footprints now lie on ancient elephant paths. May you never forget the profound sense of space and the calm rhythm of this natural world. And so we say “Go well” but not Goodbye because, as R. Elliot rightly said, “If you only visit two continents in your lifetime, visit Africa – twice!”
