- Vulture Culture in Victoria Falls
This is a complimentary activity that takes place at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. The meeting point is at the Vulture Culture deck, which is below the Buffalo Bar, adjacent to the pool.
Visitors are led down to a hide from where it’s possible to view the wild birds feeding. This conservation project helps maintain the local vulture populations, providing guests with a thrilling insight into the lives of these raptors.
It highlights the human-created issues caused by power lines and poisoned food supplies. The feeding programme provides safe leftover meat from the hotel. Watch as hundreds of white-headed, hooded, lappet-faced, and white-backed vultures flock to the ground, while learning more about their fascinating ecological importance. Donations are encouraged.
