Dinner
Dinner at the Safari Club is all about local cuisine served in a relaxed atmosphere allowing guests to sit back and unwind after long haul flights or long days out visiting our amazing city.
Dinner is served between 18h30 and 20h30 with the last sitting at 20h15. Should guests be delayed due to flights arriving late or delays at customs we suggest they buy something to eat at the airport before coming through to the hotel. No meals will be served if guests are not in the dinning room by 20h30.
Over the last 5 years we have received incredible feedback from global guests, which has encouraged us to continue serving local dishes that we would serve to our friends and families. Dinner consists of a 3 course set menu.
Every night we host a different theme based on meals that we as South Africans consider family favourites, giving our guests a chance to sample some beautiful fresh ingredients served in our own unique way.
Themes include a braai evening (Barbeque for most of our guests), bobotie (an all-time South African favourite), potjie evenings prepared with either chicken, lamb or beef, pasta evenings with a South African twist. All our meals are served with fresh vegetables and we offer vegetarian options across the board.
Our starters vary from soup to salads depending on the theme of the evening and the season.
Desserts include famous South African sweets including malva pudding, a South African twist on trifle and milk tart.
