Chobe Day Trip
  • Chobe Day Trip in Botswana

This is a wonderful way to experience Chobe if your travel time is limited. The day trip includes return transfers in Victoria Falls or Livingstone to Chobe. Once border formalities are complete, you will arrive in the safari town of Kasane. Your first glimpse of the expansive Chobe River may well take your breath away!

Morning Chobe Cruise
It is a common and particularly special treat to view wildlife refreshing at the water’s edge whilst water birds frolic in and around them. The experience is heightened by the fiery sun setting over the water, warming your skin with a last lingering touch as it travels over the horizon.

You enjoy the natural beauty and sensory wonder that is the Zambezi River, from the smaller inhabitants to the triumphant elephant, who often swim across the mainland to one of the many islands dotted on the river. Revel in the sound of the hippo snorting and crocodile splashing as they slip beneath the murky waters.

Guests are invited into the wonder of all things great and small resident to the Chobe and enjoy an intimate and personal experience of all that comprises the river’s fascinating habitat. Please be sure to bring your cameras, binoculars, sunscreen and, in the winter season, something warm to cover up.

You will enjoy a lovely lunch at Chobe Marina Lodge. Thereafter it is time to experience an afternoon Chobe game drive. All drives are conducted in an open backed 4×4 vehicle, well suited to the wild African terrain, offering you the perfect view of African bush.

Game Drive runs through The Chobe Game Reserve, an 11 700 km2 wildlife reserve, truly one of Africa’s wildlife gems and one of the greatest game reserves in southern Africa, famous for the number of elephants that reside there. Estimates vary on the elephant population, but what is guaranteed is that you will witness the unforgettable and humbling sight of these vast and majestic herds, sometimes as large as a few hundred, ranging through the reserve.

Sightings of predators such as lion, leopard, and wild dog are common, so prolific are they, that the area has been called the Galapagos of Africa. To ensure your experience is as wonderful as it should be, please pack binoculars, cameras, and a windbreaker.
In the late afternoon, you are transported back through the border to your hotel in Zimbabwe or Zambia.

Includes return transfers in Victoria Falls or Livingstone to Kasane; A morning River Safari/Cruise; lunch at Chobe Marina Lodge; an afternoon Game Drive. Includes entrance to the Falls.
