The Famous Victoria Falls Beckons You!

A transfer from your Kasane hotel leads to the Botswana border, then through Zimbabwe immigration, where another vehicle will transfer you to the Victoria Falls, about an hour away.

With your guide, you enter the Zambezi National Park to view the famous Falls, where “scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight,” wrote explorer David Livingstone, the first recorded European to witness this Nature’s Masterpiece in 1855.

You’ll see Livingstone’s commanding statue near the Devil’s Cataract, then you stroll along the Main Falls, amid a thundering mass of falling water and mist. A delicious lunch (included) at a local restaurant is followed by a visit to a craft market to experience the incredible creativity and talent of local crafts folk.

Your purchases contribute to a lifestyle for these very friendly and appreciative residents. Their work is simply splendid. Later, a visit to the Big Tree, a giant baobab tree estimated to be about 2,000 years old and is possibly Zimbabwe’s oldest and biggest baobab.

Your guide will then transfer you by road back across the Zimbabwe/ Botswana borders to your hotel, thus ending a truly unforgettable day at one of ‘The Seven Wonders Of The World.’

What to Pack? Binoculars will always enhance any game-viewing experience and will be a real boon for bird lovers, which will be more than thrilled with the many species that come and go in this region. You will of course come with long lenses for greater distance images. Don’t forget extra batteries. Sunscreen and lip balm are more than helpful in these dry conditions and carrying ‘wet wipes’ are ideal for freshening up your face, neck and hands. Sunglasses will soften the glare – especially in the middle of the day. Do bring along small packets of tissues. In cooler months (periodically late May through September) we advise bringing a jacket, jersey or shawl. We offer blankets and ponchos.
