ACTIVITIES
Game viewing
This area, situated on a private concession neighboring the Moremi Game Reserve, is superb for viewing all animal and bird species. Guests may explore by land and water, often into the night to discover nocturnal species. Both day and night game drives in open 4×4 vehicles are offered.
Floating safaris
The permanent water of the camp will reveal a world of floating safaris:
Mokoro safari: Explore water safaris at the gentle pace of a poled mokoro (dug-out-canoe) excursion (offered most of the year, subject to water levels).
Motorized boat safaris: If you prefer something faster enjoy your floating safari in a comfortable, shaded and especially adapted safari motorboats (offered most of the year, subject to water levels).
Walking safaris
A myriad of waterways, feathery beds of papyrus, and animal species, large and small, are waiting to be discovered. Sometimes there is no better way to tune into the bush than on foot, and walking safaris is a specialty at Baines Camp, with skilled, armed guides introducing the natural wonders of the area.
