Comair launches Maputo Route

Comair Limited, operator of British Airways in Southern Africa, officially launched its Maputo route from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport on May 6.

The schedule comprises daily return flights with a double-daily service on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which is conveniently timed to enable ease of connectivity for international travellers transferring at Johannesburg to Maputo. The flight departs Johannesburg at 09h00 and arrives at Maputo International Airport at 10h05.

Shaun Pozyn, marketing manager for British Airways said:, “We are excited to commence with this new route to Maputo as it allows us to grow our footprint in Africa.”

Temporary closure of Marline Lodge

Seventy percent of Marlin Lodge, on Benguerra Island, Mozambique, was destroyed by fire in December 2012..

The lodge notified agents and guests and assisted in moving them to other lodges for December/January.
It is not known when the lodge will be fully operational but the lodge hopes it will be by August 2013.

Airlink increases frequencies on JHB-Nampula route

Airlink has confirmed that it will increase the frequency of its service between Johannesburg and Nampula
in Mozambique from October 3.

The additional flight will complement Airlink’s current schedule which operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

SA Airlink increases flights between Johannesburg & Pemba

NEWSFLASH

South African Airlink  to increase the frequency of its service between Johannesburg and Pemba, Northern Mozambique.

From 27 August 2012 SA Airlink will add a Monday and Friday flight to its weekly schedule.

Flights depart Johannesburg at 11h10 arriving in Pemba at 14h00 and depart Pemba at 14h30 arriving at Johannesburg

at 17h25.-thus operating  Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

This gives excellent access to Pemba Beach Hotel, Azura at Quilalea, Ibo Island Lodge, Matemo Island, Medjumbe Island,

Guludo Beach Lodge and Vamizi Island.

Please remember that there is no CFA flight to the Quirimba Islands on a Tuesday!
