HEALTH AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
A valid passport is required and visas are required by some nationalities. We recommend that clients check requirements with visa authorities well in advance. No inoculations are required at this time, but anti-malaria tables are advisable all year round.
INSURANCE:
Please note Flame of Africa strongly recommends you take out a full insurance policy that covers the duration of your stay. Please contact your local insurance agency.
CLOTHING AND CLIMATE:
Light weight tropical clothing with rainwear from November to March. The evenings tend to be cool from May to August, during the winter months. Neutral colours are best on safaris and smart casual is suitable for the evenings (camouflage clothing is not recommended). 

There is a 12 kilogram baggage limit on internal flights and soft bags are recommended. There is a daily laundry service in most camps. Sunblock, sunglasses, hats and insect repellents are essential. A good pair of binoculars, a camera and comfortable walking shoes will enhance your stay. Summer (Sept – Apr) average temperature is 85F during the day, and between 60-70F at night. Winter (May-Aug) average temperature is 65F during the day, and 40-50F at night.

CURRENCY:
Botswana currency is the Pula. The South African Rand, US Dollars, Euros, Pounds and credit cards will be accepted at most lodges and camps.
LANGUAGE:
The official language is English whilst the national language is Setswana.
ELECTRIC CURRENT:
Camps which have generators produce 220/240 voltage. A few camps have electrical power, however most offer facilities to generate battery operated camcorders / video cameras.
NATIONAL PARK, RIVER USAGE/PERMITS AND ENTRANCE FEES:
Unless otherwise stated, National Park, Lake and River usage, Permits and entrance fees, are not included in the package price and will need to be paid on arrival at all National Parks
