What happens to your travel booking?

Once you email your travel booking to TripIt, the TripIt “Itinerator” takes over and automatically combines your related travel bookings into a single master itinerary. Then the Itinerator searches the Web to add related information, including daily weather, local maps, driving directions, city guides and more. You’ll get an email from TripIt when your new itinerary is ready.

TripIt automatically adds helpful information to your itinerary from: Eventful, Flickr, Google Maps, NOAA, SeatGuru, Wikipedia. Learn more…

What can you do with your itinerary?

Print your itinerary and head out the door with all your travel plans and confirmation numbers in one place. Or you can customize your itinerary with additional maps and directions, meetings and activities, or even other Web pages that you’ll need on your trip. You can also access all your travel plans while on the road from your mobile device or automatically sync your detailed itineraries to your personal calendar.

It’s also possible to create a network of TripIt Connections so you can view each other’s travel calendars and get alerted when your travel plans overlap with each other. It’s also easy to share complete itineraries with friends or family who need to know your travel plans, or collaborate with fellow travelers on a trip. Learn more…

MAC’S LAWS OF SURVIVAL

Do you remember the first three laws of survival?

Your brain is your number one survival tool, so donââ?¬â?¢t forget…

  1. S.T.O.P
    • Sit
    • Think
    • Observe
    • Plan
  2. The Rule of threes
    • 3 weeks no food
    • 3 days no water
    • 3 minutes no air
  3. P.R.W.F – Please Remember Whatââ?¬â?¢s First
    • Protection
    • Rescue
    • Water
    • Food

Mac’s fourth law of survival

…is to avoid problems by being prepared:

  • Plan for the worst eventuality.
  • Place a log of where you will be and when on www.flameofafrica.com/sos
  • Have a full medical and dental check before you go, and think of having a tetanus jab.
  • Have a survival kit on hand.
  • Do research on the area youââ?¬â?¢re visiting: its weather, terrain, customs and taboos.
  • Check your equipment, clothing, radios, GPS, vehicles and recovery gear.
  • Let someone know where you are to be by when, so alarms will go off if you don’t arrive.
